Update 2 - Addition to Learning Agreement 5. April 2021

During our interruption to study which began in Mid-December I have been unable to work with clay at home due to repairs on my shed/studio. Since then I have kept focused by spending time researching and improving the quality of entries in my Reflective Journal. I have spent some time drawing and painting, using alternatives to pencil drawing and experimenting with other materials in order to develop my thinking and ideas for my silver birch project.

Playing with Quink Newsprint Forest

This week, beginning 12th April, our course is restarting. Due to family circumstances I need to wait a little while before returning to the workshop but I have been back in my studio and returned to making once more.

This week I have begun to make a series of cylindrical tree-form maquettes, of varying heights and widths, a sort of mini forest of pieces for testing using slips and oxides on my return to the workshop. In the meantime, I will book an online tutorial with Rob, hopefully followed by some quality teaching time in the workshop soon.
