I'm aware that during the last semester I did very little glaze making and testing as I concentrated on other aspects of my work. Since the cancellation of our trip to Hungary I find I have a lot of dinnerware to which I have no emotional connection so I have plenty of test pieces to glaze.
I have been making space in my small studio to accommodate my glaze materials, ready for some serious glazing!
"The real interaction between potter and glaze may never take place if, as with the images of a country never visited, you never experience for yourself the thrill of creating your own glazes." Greg Daley, "Developing Glazes"
