Takura Kuwata - This is basically a cup with copious amounts of slip and glaze on coloured clay. I understand the concept of testing materials to the limit but would call it an experiment and not a cup. A cup is the name of a functional vessel but this 'cup' is obviously not for drinking from and resembles an accident with custard rather than a finished piece.
Walter Keeler - is a renowned and accomplished ceramic artist but I find his forms and colours unattractive and his jars especially don't inspire me.
Angus Suttie - Famous for his teapots, I find his vessels merely resemble teapots. His shapes and colours are vibrant to say the least. His work is certainly bold, definitely original and frequently sexual in nature. I understand that pushing boundaries is an essential part of ceramic art but personally, although I find them interesting, I also find then deeply unattractive.
