Autumn is an exciting and rapidly changing time on the forest floor. It is a time of great beauty and inspiration in the natural world. As they decay, the colours and textures of natural forms are soon lost for another year.
In order to study these colours and textures, how can we preserve the forms in their current state?
First I tried the freezer - although it slowed the process down it didn't halt it altogether. <PING> - next thought - casting resin?
I am currently experimenting between casting forms in moulds and dipping forms in resin to establish the best method of preservation. I am also getting high on a regular basis from the resin fumes.
Note: my obsession with conkers is now officially on hold...
